Based on data available from the Una Project (www.agro.unitau.br/una) this article reports results on the analysis of the impact of a planned dam implantation in the medium Una River, municipal district of Taubaté, SP, especially it presents: mapping and estimate of the flooded area and expected volume of the dam; analysis of permanent preservation areas APPs) before and after the dam and amount of forests flooded by the water; analysis of the land cover on the new APPs created by the implantation of the dam according to the Brazilian forest code and related regulations. An analysis of all the contributing area is presented.
